Laserjet P2035 Toner Cartridges

HP P2035 LaserJet Printer a Real WinnerI replaced my HP LaserJet 6P with the HP P2035 LaserJet and am very pleased with its performance. Although my older 6P was operating perfectly, my new computer had no parallel port to connect the 6P. And since the 6P was rather old, it could be subject to a breakdown at any time, so, I decided to purchase a replacement. My comparison is with the old 6P. This P2035 is not noisy unless you compare it to the innate quietness of any inkjet. The time to print the 1st sheet is amazingly short. It is very fast on multiple sheets as well. My old printer cost around $600 and this new one was slightly more than $200. I hope it is as reliable as my old 6P. I stayed with HP because of the excellent reliability I had experienced with the 6P.
I use card stock, envelopes, and labels quite a bit, so, I use the P2035 fold out front tray which gives a better straight line throughput. I also use the rear exit door rather than the wrap around exit that would otherwise take the paper back to the top of the printer. All in all, it allows a straighter path. I would have given the printer 5 stars had the fold out front tray lay much flatter as it did in the 6P and had there been some attachment that would catch the rear exiting paper rather than allowing it to fall to the floor.
Anti-Apple (Snow) Great PrinterJust as the title says: It's a great printer, but I have absolutely NO support from HP when it comes to controlling the settings. If I want to utilize the ECONO or QUIET mode, adjust the resolution, jam settings... None of this standard control is available for Mac Users. You're essentially stuck using the printer with its default settings. Regardless of who is to blame, if you're a current Apple user and you're in the market for a new LaserJet, this printer should not be on your list.
Great PrinterOrdered this Printer through Amazon from one of its preferred vendors. The printer came on time and has worked great. Its print speed is amazing. It begins spitting out the paper as soon as you hit the print button. It is that fast! I would recommend it to anyone.
Work horse at the officeWe own 2 of these printers already at our office and are buying a 3rd one today. The two we've had for a while and we print over 500 pages per week. These printers are work-horses for us. We like them and work them pretty hard which is why we're buying a 3rd one to replace an ancient Samsung. This way all 3 printers will take the same cartridges. Can't comment on the noise factor because we use these in our warehouse for packing slip and invoice printings and it's pretty loud in our warehouse. Hope this helps.
Fast But NoisyI have bought a lot of HP printers in the past. This one is very fast but it is by far the noisiest while working. I would definitely not recommend it to anyone with a small home office. Yes, it is inexpensive. Yes, it is fast. But the noise will drive you crazy. In fact, I need to buy another printer for another home office I have and I will not order this printer for that. It is puzzling that with the improvement in technology over time that HP didn't produce a quieter machine.
Bad choice if you have Windows 7!!We bought this printer because the Amazon write-up said it was compatible with Windows 7. That choice cost us a week of productivity because it DOES NOT WORK with Windows 7. So, buyer beware!
Laser PrintersTotally flawless installation on Win7, easy share on other PC's. Excellent print quality and speed.
Just a little more noise that I expected. Still, a great printer, especially for the price.
Even the HP software is improved and not as intrusive as usual.
HP printerThe printer works good. It is a bit loud but that is not a big issue.
THe packaging the printer was delivered in was totally inadaquate. If HP had not packed the printer as well as they did it would have arrived in pieces. THe box was a good size but there was no padding aside from a single sheet of paper padding.
HP is just like the car dealersMy last new car came with a full tank of gas. Not so with this printer. They give you a training cartridge good for 1000 pages. No wonder HP is able to recycle cartridges equal in weight to 6 jumbo jets. All the talk about being green is somehow lost. No USB cable either. Luckily I had an extra one laying around. We saved a tree today because there is no instruction manual so I have yet to figure how to put the printer to sleep. Its another green thing
This was purchased to replace my HP 4L. I owned 2 in the last 15 years. I have high expectations for this printer based on that. The blasted thing is noisy like a small helecopter hovering. It is incredibly fast compared to the old 4Ls 30 ppm vs 4ppm. In all its a solid printer for the money I hope.
Fast but NoisyI purchased this printer to replace an HP1320 that went south sooner than I had hoped. This model is close to the 1320 but much noisier. However, it's "wicked" fast and the quality is very good. Easy to set up. Took only 10 minutes including software install. Does well with envelopes, too.
