Another piece of dung from HP

After the disaster that was the 6500, I let myself get talked into the 8600 being assured that is was much better. Well the good news is that it is not worse. You cannot properly feed or print envelopes. The wireless network will not hold its connection and the copier leaves streaks. Outside of that it`s great. By the way, I returned the first one and the second one was no better.

    TERRIBLE WIRELESS PRINTER

I would say that I love this printer, and I do, except for one huge irritation. Every day when I try to print again, the wireless part never works. I usually have to mess with the printer for close to an hour before it will work again. I never know what makes it not work and what makes it work again. It will just suddenly print. Other than that it`s a great printer. If I had it to do again, I wouldn`t buy this one and I certainly wouldn`t recommend it to anyone!!! Also, the fax speed must be set to "low" in order for a fax to complete.

    Great Printer Easy setup

This was a replacement for a color laser. I have pleased with it`s document printing and pics printing. Although the photo paper that bought at a big warehouse store named after Samuel, was very hard to feed. That paper was Royal Brites Glossy.

    It`s Perfect For

This is great for the everyday at home user. It`s worth the money and you will save in ink replacement cost the first time you buy a cartridge. The that comes with it you can print 900 plus pages. That cartridge cost $15 to $25 when compare to the printers the give you in a computer package that prints 100 to 250 page on a cartridge for $40 to $50 , it a no brainer on why you should upgrade. The Feature i wish this printer had is Efax for the house hold or business who don`t have analog phone service for faxing. Voip faxing is ok but sometimes it times out when sending more then 3 pages in my experience. Hope i was a big help in your decision. P.S The paper only jams if printer is not on a flat surface or to close to a wall. The paper feeds from the bottom with a Twosided print feeder on the back.

    Poor Quality

I have used this printer less than 10 times....It makes a horrible noise when preparing to print and then has paper jams on every print job. I should have taken it back for a refund.

Outstanding injet printer for the money

Well we have owned several inject printers. We bought this one because it was wireless. That was the main reason for a replacement. What I really liked was it was easy to set up and easy to install on the network for our Gateway laptop , the custom built Desktop, and the iMac27 which was the easiest to connect to by far. it was so simple a 5year old could have done this set up task on the iMac27. However the Dell netbook could not be set up I am going to have to buy a External CD/DVD drive to install the software CD where as this was not necessary with the Gateway Laptop or the iMac27. I hope that will resolve the issues the printer is identified but we can not connect to the printer wirelessly from the Dell net book. One more thing the Gateway used Windows 7 and the Netbook uses Windows 7 ultimate also . The custom Desktop is still running Widows XP. if this makes any difference. However the iMac27 has Lion OS 10 and Parallels Desktop 7 the install & set up was flawless with both OS`s. Like I said great printer for the bucks to use on a small office network.

Prints from iPhone using wifi, other brands don`t .

I bought this printer not only because of everything it`s capable of which is alot. The big seller for me was that I could print wireless from our iPhones or laptops or even set my pc through the router network to print through wifi.it has eprint as well, I set it up but I don`t exactly know how to use it yet only because I have not tried . The whole thing was pretty simple to set up using the on screen instructions and some reading was required . I was impressed that it did not take me all day to set up.or figure out. I would give it five stars but I have not had it that long yet and require more time to play with it.

    Love this printer!

This printer is a very good printer for the price with the functionality that it offers such as ePrint (good for iphone/ipad), touch screen, and apps. I highly recommed purchasing this printer, if you want to get a good bang for your buck!

    Simple and versatile

Wow, great printer. Easy to connect to the network with wireless, nice eprint setup, easily printed from my iPhone and iPad, and seamless connection to two different computers using Windows XP and 7. The HP website was very helpful with specific connectivity info.
