Jan 29, 2011Worst printer , unsatisfactory print quality , uses ink so rapidly , no cheaper replacement cartridges , doesnt work with black ink alone need color cartridge (even if you dont need). And lastly cartridges are non refillable-- shame on lexmark.. was loyal to lexmark.. not any more , will never buy again .. moving to other vendors.. also going to suggest same to all my clients..

Nov 16, 2010the absolute biggest pain in the @$$ printer I`ve ever owned... Ink cartridges extremely expensive with no alternatives. Print quality is mediocre at best. Photo printing is so sub par I would rather a monkey on LSD attempt to develop my pictures. Lexmark knows of issues and completely ignores customers complaints. I will never buy Lexmark again. I could go on for days about this p-o-s but I need to dig out and hook up my old Centronics (dot matrix) printer from high school.

Aug 21, 2010I have written extensively to Lexmark re: my X2690 printer since I purchased it to no avail. I have received no replies, no suggestions, no exchange offers. This printer is completely unsatisfactory, it does not meet my work needs, and printing capacity. The ink cartridge is very small, with very little printing capacity, and extremely expensive. Lexmark has not even suggested a cheaper, compatible ink cartridge for this printer. Like some of your customers mentioned, "quality of print shabby-ink runs out VERY quickly, hard to find and costly. I work and print everyday, and cannot use this printer since i bought it, I have to send my work to another printer that I have, in another part of my office, which and HP all in one printer. I have no problems refilling it, YOURS CANNOT BE REFILLED, and I had my HP for years now, with no problems (only I have to go up and down to retrieve my printed work) NOT RIGHT AT LL, NOT GOOD ALSO FOR YOUR COMPANY AND BUSINESS .MY QUESTION TO YOU IS THAT WHAT IS YOUR COMPANY WILLING TO DO ABOUT THIS COMMON PROBLEM FOR ALL PEOPLE, I NEED TO EXCHANGE THIS PRINTER A i HAVE E-MAILED MANY TIMES BEFORE, WITH A DIFFERENT PRINTER THAT HAS A MORE EXTENSIVE INK AND PRINTING CAPACITY. Dec 19, 2009i bought lexmark ink #17 late that i knew that it is not compatible with x2690... so expensive is there any way i could return it .. i already remove the cartridge inside the box... thank you so much ... i really love my lexmark printer

Nov 27, 2009In my experience, the print quality using the black ink of the Lexmark X2690 is fine. However, the ink does run out quickly and does not come cheap. I should have invested in a laser printer since I almost never print in color.

Feb 25, 2009This is the worst product--quality of print shabby-ink runs out VERY quickly--had an old HP that I do the same work on and the ink lasated a goodlong time---ink is very hard to find and costly.
