DON'T DO IT!

I have to agree with the worst of the worst reviews of this piece of junk. Bought for all the reasons one purchases WiFi equipment but after a few years of very limited use I consider it a huge waste of space on my desk and it is going away ASAP. Over the last three years I have had to spend hours on the phone with OUTSOURCE PUNJAB to try to trouble shoot simple functions that won't function, LIKE THE WiFi CONNECTION to my home network and my Mac computer. It is not compatible with Mac OS 5.xx or 6.xx according to "Bob" in the Punjab. No one can figure out why the thing won't do what it is supposed to do: 1) Stay connected to my home network. 2) Scan wirelessly through my home network. 3) Print more than a few copies before giving low ink alerts and remaining operating for any length of time. I have had 4 different case references with their so called support since Sept. 2010. Just when I am beginning to need it more than once in a while it has lost connection to my network again and won't even work wired via USB. I just downloaded an update plug in and it has gone comatose. I'm pulling life support and sending it to the recycling center. I definitely did not get my money's worth and will never buy another Lexmark product again.

THE PRINTER HARASSES YOU FOR INK CONSTANTLY!

DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER if you want to be harassed to replace your ink cartridge! You will be constantly harassed by the printer to change the ink cartridges after about only 150 copies. It will harass you about the color ink also even if you print in gray scale only! If you do not replace it soon after the warnings, it will no longer print your faxes for you-it keeps them hostage until you replace the cartridge! ONLY A FEW STORES CARRY THE INK CARTRIDGES, SO IT IS INCONVENIENT TO BUY THE INK!
Also, the automatic feeder rarely works!

I want people to know that the color cartridges for this printer are expensive and maybe not too long lasting.

I bought this printer (Lexmark X6575) from the shit store in the world TIGER DIRECT for $199.99 .After 2 days Staples offered this printer for $99.95. Than after 10 days the shit store in the world TIGER DIRECT offer it for $99.99. In only one week it drop down to $84.99. Three more days later it goes down to $69.99. So what kind of shit printer and store is that ?

The X6575 will not print with Quicken 2007

The print/scan/copy/fax capabilities of the Lexmark X6575 printer are excellent, BUT unfortunately Quicken 2007 will not accept it for printing report or checks. Using the scan to e-mail works nicely, BUT unfortunately it hangs my desktop PC using Windows XP Professional and a power down and reboot is required to get back in service. I intend to persue this Lexmark X6575 print problem with Quicken technicans.
