Epson 98 Black, Ink Cartridge ^{High Yield}

Good ink, short life

My HP used ink so fast that I decided to try Epson. Still haven't found an ink that lasts very long and I use Draft setting for most printing.

Exactly as I expected.

This ink is excellent in quality, and the price is only a few percent above re-manufactured cartridge prices when you consider amount of ink actually available for use.

Works well

I have tried Epson Compatible cartridges before and all they do is gum up your printer. They may be less expensive ,but not worth it. Genuine Epson cartridges are the way to go. The 98 is a more expensive than the 99 , but it ill last longer.

High capacity really just means full

It's really annoying to me that companies (not just Epson) fill their "regular capacity" cartridges only partially, then charge a "high capacity" price for the full cartridge (minus 1 star). The 99's that came with your printer are "regular capacity" and the 98's are the "high capacity." That being said, this is great ink, and it's a much better value to buy the high capacity cartridge. I have experimented with different papers and inks, and the best photos I've printed have always been with Epson ink on Epson paper, (I have the Artisan 810). Their paper is designed to hold their ink, and inks can be quite different in their chemical makeup.

This cartridge has all of the colors, but black is sold separately. The high capacity black is also 98.

The bottom line... if the quality of your photos is important, spring for this good ink on the correct Epson paper for the job. I like premium glossy for prints, but that's a matter of preference.

P.S. I don't have any relationship to Epson. I'm a teacher and a mom, and I print lots of photos.

Bring Your Ink Costs Down

Purchased these high-capacity ink cartridges for my new Epson 810. Haven't opened the package yet, but it arrived quickly after my order. Inks still have a lot of shelf-life remaining (based on "use-by" date), so I'm sure they'll work fine. Definitely cheaper than buying these at my local office supply store, especially considering gas charges to drive there.

Love Epson

I finally had to bag my HP office printer. I bought a similar Epson based on reputation. I love the printer. It's a complete package. Ink cartridges are are of the same quality. Easy to use. They get the job done.

Epson inks

This ink-pack is OK, but wish they sold higher capacity 5 packs. The Epson Artisan printer sucks ink like crazy - no wonder the photos are brighter!
Amazon's price is the best I have found so far, and shipping is quick. Only if next day shipping cost the same as standard could it be better.

Too bad there is no black ink

Too bad Epson doesn't make or Amazon doesn't offer a complete set of ink that includes the black. I ended up placing two separate orders because the ink I wanted wasn't available through a single source at competitive prices. Otherwise, Epson ink is Epson ink and Amazon is Amazon. Such is life!

great proce for Epson ink

This product works in the Epson Artisan printer and you really need to use Epson ink to get good results with their printers. This price a little better than the SALE price at the Epson store and mcuh better that their regular price.
