Costly Ink Cartridges

What can I say - it's a ink cartridge....well they don't last very long!!! It seems we blow thru these quickly. I am going to try to XL cartridge next time; costs more, but it is a must have item.

This product is not worth the money you paid. Because it is not printing more than 60 or 70 pages...

Ran out quickly

The product promises up to 300 pages but I sincerely doubt I reached 30 before getting "ink low" warnings. I am now seriously wondering whether to shift to ink refill packs instead. 30 pages for $50 in ink costs (this package plus a cyan/magenta/yellow and photo black) is obscene.

Not Original Ink - Fake HP Ink

This cartridge fits hp printers but is not recognised and also comes minus any HP logo's even though the outer box is HP branded

Easy install, quick and clean, no mess.

It just pays to buy OEM inks, even if they cost more. I've tried saving a dollar in the past, only to have it cost me big bucks in ink leaks on my reports & inside the printer. This fits my C410a HP Photosmart, and this is the black ink that you use on the B&W side. The photo side takes it's own part number. Cheers.

Extremely low print capacity

I was a loyal HP customer for 12 years. My old printer from 1998 was getting long in the tooth, but still working great. However, I wanted a printer that would have wireless capability, print photos better, and would allow me to scan. So I bought a Photosmart Plus, which takes this ink. This ink is truly horrible. The estimates of how long it will last are WAY off. I don't print very much and I'm already on my 4th cartridge, one of which was an "XL" and supposed to last through 800 sheets. LOL!! I'm getting NOWHERE NEAR the estimated 250 sheets per regular and 800 sheets per XL cartridge. Not even close. Around the time I bought the printer I bought a ream of 750 sheets of paper which still isn't half gone. I have printed a few photos, but I was having errors when printing photos for a long time, so I have printed less than 20 4x6 photos the entire time I've owned the printer. In all honesty, it's probably cheaper to have photos professionally printed than to pay for this ink to print them! This ink is an insulting scam, not to mention an environmental nightmare. I really hope a competitor comes forward that can make great printers and efficient ink cartridges that aren't designed to be as wasteful as possible. Once I find that company, I will trash my HP printer (even though it is brand new) and these horrendous ink cartridges. I would MUCH rather pay a higher price up front for a quality printer, then to constantly find myself low on ink and unable to print anything, and throwing away cartridge after cartridge just to print a few recipes, mailing labels, and google map directions.

Ink runs out pretty fast. I would recommend getting the XL version, you will get more and save a lot of money. Ink wise it is great.

HP has gone too far

I agree with some of the other comments that this ink cartridge runs out very very fast. We only use the fast draft mode for efficient ink use and yet despite being a smaller cartridge, proportionately we get very few prints out of a cartridge in comparison to our old HP printer. This seems to have been the trend as HP keeps making the printers less expensive and finding ways to get you to spend more money on the ink. I'm going to seriously rethink my next HP printer purchase and likely opt for a different brand despite having been relatively happy with my last 6 HP printers over two decades. I hope someone from HP takes notice - their short term gain and ink business had gone too far and will be a long term loss of previously loyal customers.

I love the printer, but this ink cartridge barely ever lasts more than a week!

Good ink, good printer, but this black ink cartridge barely holds any ink and goes empty after just about a week of light printing! So frustrating!!!

Dry cartridge?

Order of three color cartridges and one black cartridge was delivered quickly. Black cartridge is already empty and other three haven't even made it to halfway mark. And of course I didn't find the packing slip until thirty THREE days after ordering. Will reconsider purchasing from this seller in future.
