Because this is a newer machine the high yield cartridges aren`t available. They don`t last that long for the price you have to pay for them.

Product arrived with expired expiration date. Shame on Amazon, what happened to quality control. Amazon should not sell products that have already expired

Genuine HP INK

I bought this genuine ink after the starter ink that came with the HP P1606dn ran out. Every page that has been printed is clear, black, and clean.

Very easy to install

Other than that, just make sure you take out the strip that blocks access to the ink before installing it inside the printer. It is a orange tab that you pull.

Done with HP after this FOREVER

First, as you can see from all the other reviews of this toner on HP's official site, it is true, the cartridge is misrepresented by HP, as it gets no where near the 2100 copies promised, not even close. HP should in the LEAST lower the cost of this cartridge, if they don't want to fess up to the fact that you will only get about half of the amount of copies promised. For this price I should have bought a COLORED printer! What a fool I was thinking I was being frugal by getting a black and white. Not with this printer and cartridge!

Second, the printer itself, after a year and a half is already having issues with the automatic feed. That's only after I had used the feeder THREE times, as I rarely ever used the outgoing fax machine (and that would be the only instance I would use the feeder.) Unfortunately I am at a place now where I need to send faxes a lot, and I desperately need the feeder, but instead all I can do is scan each page one by one, which takes a lot of time to do a simple 10 page fax, never mind a 20 page one. But what can I do now? I'm past the warranty and I've done the recommended "cleaning" of the feeder, and still to no avail.

And the third and last reason why I AM DONE WITH HP FOREVER, is because I purchased an HP laptop 6 months ago and I had to send it in to get serviced 1 month later because the screen was completely blank! Now I have to send it back in for other issues and because the techs, when working on my computer the first time somehow locked "My Documents" folder so I can not access it!

All around it is just poor quality, poor quality control, and I feel like every time I buy an HP product I am trapped to some kind of misery, be it having to purchase a $78 toner cartridge every month, or having to manually feed my faxes through, or having to send my laptop away to be fixed, and be without a laptop for a week! That is not very easy to do and HP doesn't seem to get it. Why can't I just have a product that WORKS??!! and doesn't make me feel RIPPED off and lied to??!!

I don't see HP doing anything to make things better and so I have just had enough of them. No more.

Fast shipping. Good quality - Can't tell the deference between this one and the original. Don't know how long it will last yet.

Tried after-market, but....

This HP toner cartridge lasts longer and prints more accurately (darker) than the after-market (i.e. non-HP-branded) toner cartridges we've tried in our office. Costs more than "compatible", but if print quality is an issue, then stick with HP.

Superior to remanufactuered!

There is noting like a genuine HP toner cartridge. I have tried the "remanufactured" but the quiality of the printed documents is not nearly as good as that from genuine HP cartridges.
