HP 920XL Magenta, Ink Cartridge ^{High yield}

Amazon and Prime are there !!

It's just getting too easy to order all this kind of stuff from Amazon. By the time I travel 15 miles to Staples to buy this cartridge, I've paid much more than I pay Amazon. The ink indicator on my printer shows I'm low, I do a one-click order from Amazon, and get it in two days with free shipping (on Amazon Prime). The price is better and what could be easier. I've ordered refilled cartridges elsewhere, but have decided that HP printers really do better with HP ink. Total cost is even less than Costco. Amazon is becoming shopping-central for more things than I ever thought possible. With the current price of gas, I may not get out much anymore when I can just do the one-click thing on Amazon.

So, OK, this review is about the service not the product. If you buy an HP printer, you've already decided to buy the product so it doesn't much matter how many stars it gets....does it!!

Long live Amazon!!

HP 920XL Four Pack Black & Colors Ink Cartridge Set

These came as pictured and described in timely manner. The cost is comparable to in store displays. It may not be as cost effective if living in large city with numerous shops that carry supplies.

I don't think any of these ink cartridges give you enough pages for the money they cost but it's good color and easy to use.

Needed a full clean of printer before use

When first installed did not print anything. It even stopped the color printing. Somehow the ink may be jammed/stuck in cartridge which brings the question if the seller is selling 'fresh' ones (there is no 'use by' date). A full clean/align of my 6500 was required for it to start printing again. did not have to do that when i bought 920XL's from other suppliers./

I got what I ordered

What can you say about ink??????? I have never had a problem with HP ink. I have had some printer problems which have resulted in the ink not being applied properly, but not the ink.

BTW The supplier was prompt in shipping and there wereno packaging problems.

The Ink cartridge worked as expected. I did need to run a lot of test pages to get solid black.

The four pack HP920XL ink cartridge set seemed reasonably priced and was received sooner than expected. Service I am beginning to to take for granted when I deal with Amazon.

As expected....

The 920 xl cartridge has been a much better value for me as a small business owner than other printing options thus far. My first few cartriges purchased were the regular sized (small) 920 black. They would last for only 2-3 weeks tops. Now with the 920xl I am saving money and am less worried about having multiple replacements on hand for large printing jobs.

Amazon delivered this order within 3-4 business days (free shipping option). I would definately order this product again.

Ink is good, but printer uses too much

I recently received a notice about a class action suit against HP related to the high ink usage of the 6500 printer that uses this ink.

It seems that the normal default setup for the printer uses all 4 inks when printing black! To lengthen the life of the color inks, you need to change your defaults so that it prints in black and white, using only the color ink. I need to look at the quality if I set the default to 'draft quality' as well.

That last part is on a menu with the choices being 'High quality' and 'black ink only'.

If you set your printer defaults to this, you'll need to modify the print setup on a request basis when you want print in color.

The color ink should last a lot longer with this.
